Description
The inVIEW Wiper Control Module is the cleanest way to add windshield wiper control to a hot rod, restomod, commercial build, or any custom vehicle. One sealed module mounts behind the dash and handles everything — low speed, high speed, intermittent, washer, and automatic parking — so you don’t need separate relays, timers, or an intermittent-wipe module in your wiring. No bulky wiper control switch on the dash.
Three ways to control it
inVIEW fits your build, however you drive it:
- With your own switches. Wire any switches you like to the module’s four inputs — low, high, intermittent, and washer — and run the wipers directly. No CAN network or other electronics required.
- On a J1939 CAN network. Command inVIEW from any J1939-compatible controller over CAN. Ships configured for a 250 kb/s bus.
- As part of an Infinitybox system. Connect inVIEW to a Next Generation IPM1 system and drive the wipers from MASTERCELL switch inputs, inTOUCH screens through inLINK NGX, or the inCONTROL knob.
Pick one control method per install — your own switches or a CAN source, not both at once.
Switches that match your build
Most off-the-shelf wiper kits ship with an oversized, commercial-truck-style knob you’re expected to mount somewhere on your dash — and once it’s in, it dictates the look of that area whether it suits the rest of your interior or not. inVIEW doesn’t make you compromise. Wire in whatever control you want: a period-correct toggle, an original column stalk, a vintage rotary switch, billet push-buttons, a hidden control tucked under the dash. The module doesn’t care what the switch looks like, only what it does. Your interior stays on theme.
Four operating modes
- Low speed — continuous low-speed wipe
- High speed — continuous high-speed wipe
- Intermittent — low-speed wipe on a configurable delay you set to match driving conditions
- Washer — sprays to wet the glass, runs the wipers on high while the command is held, then keeps them running a few seconds after release to clear the windshield before parking
Automatic park
When you switch the wipers off, the module brings the blades back to their resting position at the bottom of the windshield automatically — no separate park wiring or timer to set up.
Choose the right version for your motor
inVIEW comes in two versions to match how your wiper motor parks. Select yours from the dropdown above:
- Coast-to-Park (852-799-CTP) — for motors that return the arms home through a separate park terminal and internal cam switch.
- Dynamic Park (852-799-DYN) — for motors that stop the arms by dynamic braking, the standard configuration for most aftermarket replacement motors today. Also available as the Dynamic Park – RainGear Harness (852-799-DYN-RG) kit, with a harness pre-terminated to plug directly into RainGear wiper motors.
If you’re not sure which type your motor is, check the literature that came with your wiper system or contact the motor manufacturer.
Compatibility note for Infinitybox systems
If you’re driving inVIEW from an Infinitybox system, it requires the Next Generation IPM1 kit. It is not compatible with the Legacy 3-Cell or 20-Circuit kits. (This applies only to Infinitybox-system control — inVIEW still works as a standalone or J1939 module on any vehicle.)
